About us

Smitten is all about bringing joy right to your fingertips! Founded by watercolor artist Peyton Le, Smitten combined the best of both worlds: bringing the salon experience home while providing hand-painted designs to her collection making it the first-ever semi-cured brand to offer premium designer finishes.

About the Founder

My journey from data analyst to entrepreneur was difficult. I've always loved drawing and painting. When I was a kid, I spent my summers learning how to do both, but I gave it up because my parents didn't think it was a stable career path. They wanted me to pick a profession that was more stable and reliable. So, I went the safe route and got a job in the corporate world. It wasn't terrible—in fact, I loved working with data—but it was toxic, and my mental health took a hit because of it. That's when I took time off to heal and rediscover what made me happy. When I got back into art, I found that it helped me find a better version of myself: one that is happier and more confident than ever before! Now, instead of just making art for myself, I get to share that joy with others through my art.

Our Process

We believe art should be free-flowing and fun. Utilizing intuitive painting we explore new colors, shapes, and patterns.

We formulate a pattern or concept and move pieces to digital specifications and translate all the artwork so it maintains the original brush strokes or details.

Designs then go through skin tone validation to ensure colors would compliment a wide range of skin tones. Lastly, we send our designs to our printmakers to validate and confirm specifications.

This entire process can be anywhere from 2-6 weeks depending on the complexity of the designs 🙂 it’s a lot of work but the quality is important to us so it's all worth it✨

THE ANSWER for those allergic to nail salon gel
Severs years ago, I had to stop getting gel polish as well as dipping powder gel nails. I would scratch my cuticles constantly. These semi-cured nail strips are high quality, and the remover cause NO ISSUES for me (thanks for the video tip using the disposable dental flosser to aid removing the tips! 😃). Only critique would be I would like an expanded solid color bar. I’m in my late 50’s and think solid polish is more age-appropriate for me. But I LOVE the Ballet Slipper color.

My favorite, great design and quality
I’ve tried a few brands of gel nail stickers and so far these are my favorite! Absolutely love this design and they were so easy to use. Very flexible which I haven’t found to be the case with some brands and they seem to adhere very well. These worked great for me and hoping to see more styles available.
